The elected official from the North accused in a threatening tone the deputies of the “common base” whom he accuses of obstructing. A speech which led the session president to suspend her.
“We cannot accept that the rapporteur threatens parliamentarians, it is unacceptable!”said Horizons MP Sylvain Berrios. A minute earlier, Ugo Bernalicis, the LFI deputy, rapporteur of the bill aimed at repealing the extension of the legal retirement age to 64, had sent a message to his colleagues, smiling: “Be careful, your votes will be public on the Assembly website, there will be your names. Who voted for? Who voted against? A speech which led the session president to suspend it, demanding that it cease in the future “this type of pressure”.
Since this morning, the elected representatives of France Insoumise have control of the agenda in the Assembly, within the framework of their parliamentary niche. However, examination of the text is largely slowed down by the thousand amendments tabled, most of them by the former presidential majority and the right. Ulcerated by these blocking methods which should not allow the examination of their text to reach its conclusion, the LFI elected officials denounce “a desire for parliamentary obstruction”. In recent days, some of them have published on social networks photos of their centrist or right-wing colleagues who have tabled amendments, inviting the inhabitants of their constituency to write to them. Nominal targeting not appreciated by those concerned.
“There is no obstruction, there is simply a desire for debate today”retorted in the hemicycle the Minister responsible for the Budget, Laurent Saint-Martin. The deputies are continuing this Thursday afternoon and this evening, the examination of the LFI bill which aims to return to a retirement age of 62 with 42 years of contributions.
