This Thursday, the Paris criminal court sentenced to seven years' imprisonment the driver who was on trial for having killed, in May 2022, the son of star chef Yannick Alléno. The court also issued against Franky D., 27, a deferred committal warrant with provisional execution, which will lead to his incarceration even in the event of an appeal.
Considering that he had “multiplied risky behavior”, “recklessness” and adopted “inconsistent behavior” leading him “to tragedy”, the court also sentenced Franky D. to a cancellation of his driving license and a ban to obtain it for five years.
Drunk, without a license at 120 km/h instead of 30 km/h
On the evening of May 8, 2022, Franky D., who is part of the traveling community, drove drunk, without a license, aboard an Audi RS6 at 120 km/h in the streets of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, restricted at 30. With this car, stolen a little earlier in the evening, he hit a VTC, then a taxi at a red light. He then lost control of the vehicle and hit a scooter.
The driver of the two-wheeler, Antoine Alléno, 24, and his passenger, Anisa, were ejected. The young man succumbed to his injuries, his helmet was found a few meters away. The passenger is injured. Fleeing on foot, the driver was quickly arrested and the blood alcohol level test revealed a level of 1.56 g/l of alcohol in the blood.
At the end of October, the prosecution requested eight years of imprisonment with a committal warrant, as well as a ten-year driving ban against Franky D.
