Questioned in the Senate on the new upcoming program of education for emotional, relational and sexual life, the Minister for Academic Success, Alexandre Portier, wallowed in the hackneyed clichés of the reaction lobby to decree it “not acceptable”. Curious: the Minister of National Education Anne Genetet, her superior, had on the contrary found it “very complete”

Say that you are part of the reaction lobby without saying that you are part of the reaction lobby. In less than two minutes, this Wednesday, November 27, the new Minister Delegate in charge of Academic Success brilliantly took up the challenge. Questioned in the Senate about the new education program for emotional, relational and sexual life, Alexandre Portier declared that it was not “as is not acceptable”basing his argument on the good old clichés of Éric Zemmour, Marine Le Pen and La Manif pour tous, to the point of bringing out the hackneyed air of the “gender theory”.

We told you about it in the article in the fall magazine devoted to education: this new program has been lying around on the government's table for a year. In October, the new Minister of National Education, Anne Genetet, announced that she had “took the time necessary to reread with great attention the program that was written”, judging him “very complete”. She therefore promised that it would be examined by the Higher Council of Education before the end of the year, asking that it “be published as soon as possible so that teachers have time to understand it”, and now evoking an implementation “at the latest by the start of the 2025 school year”.

Alexandre Portier vs. Anne Genetet

But, true to their history, the senators of the Les Républicains (LR) party do not want students to be able to hear about sexual orientation or gender identity. “Ensure in the Senate that in its final version, the content of each cycle will be adapted to the age of the students ? That the 17 references to gender identity will be removed? That every trace of Wokism will be expunged?”asked Senator Max Brisson this Wednesday during questions to the government.

Response from Alexandre Portier, who openly contradicts his supervisory minister: “I tell you as an elected official, but also as a father, this program as it stands is not acceptable and it must be reviewed.” Hardly surprising on the part of this minister from the right who, as recently as last January when he was still a deputy for the Rhône, signed in Current Values a column targeting the former Minister of Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, pointing out “all the educational delusions that she initiated, all the mistakes in which our school has been lost since, bordering on mistreatment”

Zemmour and Le Pen in the text

To justify his position, the Minister Delegate cites three arguments today. The first : “I will personally commit to ensuring that gender theory does not find its place in our schools, because it should have no place there.” And here we are back ten years, to the time of the ABCDs of equality and the nonsense propagated by a certain Farida Belghoul, taken up by La Manif pour tous as well as by Marine Le Pen and even Éric Zemmour.

“Second, activism has no place in our schools either”continues Alexandre Portier, who seems to have had his speech dictated by Vigilant Parents, a branch of Zemmourist activists. However, studies prove it: interventions in schools, supervised and carried out by approved associations such as SOS homophobia, are very effective in reducing school bullying.

“Thirdly, I also want better consideration of the development of our students because all the concepts that must be discussed in these subjects must be based on the development of our students, with wisdom”finally argues the delegate minister. As if the specialists who wrote the 65-page program in question, members of the General Inspectorate of Education, had not thought about adapting it to the age of the children… In short, the Minister Delegate for Academic Success has served us a nice collection of fallacious clichés, of which it is not clear how they advance the schmilblick. Or is this a new guarantee given to Marine Le Pen to avoid a motion of censure?
