The Champions League makes a swift return after the international break, with two of Europe’s most decorated clubs taking centre stage as the new format really begins to spice up.

Bayern Munich vs PSG – 21:00 CET
Two teams who haven’t made the best start in the Champions League go head to head on Tuesday, knowing that another loss could be fatal to their chances of securing a spot in the top eight of the new format.
Bayern have already suffered losses at the hands of Aston Villa and Barcelona, and are languishing down in 17th place in the table. However, the Germans are currently on a six match winning streak, and striker Harry Kane is coming off the back of a hat-trick against Augsburg last Friday, so they will be full of confidence.
It has been a real struggle for PSG in Europe this season, winning just once in their opening four games and losing to Arsenal and Atletico Madrid. The French champions are in an even more perilous position than Bayern, as they sit all the way down in 25th. They will be well aware that it is three points or bust for them.
Wednesday, November 27th
Aston Villa vs Juventus – 21:00 CET
Aston Villa made a dream start to their Champions League season, winning their opening three games as they returned to Europe’s most prestigious competition for the first time since 1983.
However, a disappointing loss at Club Brugge in their last match showed that it won’t be all plain sailing, and they are also currently on a six-match run without a victory in all competitions.
They will host another European heavyweight on Wednesday, as they take on Thiago Motta’s young Juventus side. The Italians have made a decent start to their campaign, picking up seven points from a possible 12, with a home loss to Stuttgart the big blot on their copybook.
Villa Park will certainly be as raucous as it was when Bayern came to town, and you can be sure it will be another brilliant Champions League night in the midlands.
Liverpool vs Real Madrid – 21:00 CET
A massive heavyweight Champions League fixture is on the horizon this Wednesday, as two of Europe’s most decorated clubs face off at Anfield.
Liverpool have arguably been the best team in the world so far this season, sitting atop the Premier League and Champions League – with a flawless record in the latter. Arne Slot has taken over from Jurgen Klopp without any issue, and will be feeling confident ahead of this clash.
The future of Mohamed Salah remains up in the air, but that hasn’t stopped the Egyptian from producing some scintillating form, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.
It hasn’t been as straightforward for the reigning European champions, Real Madrid. The Spanish side have suffered two defeats already, and a third at Liverpool would significantly reduce their chances of securing an automatic qualification spot.
They have been far from their best this season as they look to adjust without Toni Kroos and with Kylian Mbappe in the team. However, the Frenchman will finally be able to take centre stage, with Vinicius Junior ruled out of the trip to Liverpool with a muscle injury.

AZ Alkmaar vs Galatasaray – 18:45 CET
Turkish champions Galatasaray will be aiming to continue their imperious start to the season with a trip to the Netherlands to face AZ Alkmaar.
Galatasaray’s victory in the league on the weekend made it 11 wins and a draw from their first 12 games, officially the best start by any team in Super Lig history. They are also third in the Europa League standings following an impressive 3-2 win over Tottenham, and with Victor Osimhen leading the line, they will be seen as one of the teams who could go on a deep run in Europe.
With two wins and two losses in Europe, AZ Alkmaar are still looking for consistency, as they have also lost five games in the league. In their last Europa League game, however, they beat Galatasaray’s title rivals Fenerbahce 3-1, so have some experience of beating a Turkish team at home.
