One month before the budget vote, the censorship of the Barnier government would open a period of great uncertainty. The government spokesperson launches an appeal to socialists.
Maud Bregeon denies raising “the rag of fear”, but does not hesitate in Le Parisien to warn of the consequences of a motion of censure against the government which would lead to a “Greek scenario”.
“Who wants to offer the French as a Christmas present for 2025 a deficit of more than 7% and interest rates that are soaring?” asks the government spokesperson.
She believes that this would be “synonymous with a lasting weakening of the country, at all levels”. No one was elected to add crisis to crisis.
“Their responsibility is immense”
This warning is addressed neither to the National Rally nor to LFI whose leaders, Marine Le Pen and Mathilde Panot, will be received by the Prime Minister on Monday. On the other hand, it directly targets the socialists and Maud Bregeon does not deny it.
“Their responsibility is immense. They are at a crossroads: do they definitively seal the alliance of shame with LFI or do they raise their heads? I am thinking of the 18 million voters who voted for François Hollande in 2012.
Maud Bregeon believes that PS deputies should vote against the proposed LFI law, “unless they deny their own record!”
