During the meeting, Erdogan said the two sides aspire to strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially by expanding the volume of their bilateral trade.
Mr. Erdogan also promised that his country would continue to contribute to the peace process.
Turkey, which maintains good relations with Ukraine and Russia, has acted as a mediator between the two countries since the conflict began in February 2022.
On Wednesday, Mr Erdogan said the US decision to allow kyiv to use its long-range missiles to strike inside Russia was aimed at “fueling the flames of war”.
“It appears to be a move to fan the flames of war, to ensure that it does not end, and even to encourage its spread,” Erdogan told reporters as he returned to Turkey from Brazil, where he attended the G20 summit, according to a report by the semi-official Anadolu agency.
