Immediately after the polls closed, the exit polls of the presidential elections, the first round, were published. The answers that all of Romania was waiting for were announced live on Digi 24, when two exit polls were revealed.

14 names on the ballots in the fight for Cotroceni

Romanians were called to the polls on Sunday, November 24, to vote in the first round of the presidential elections. 14 names were on the ballots. One of the candidates, however, decided to withdraw, an announcement made during the Digi24 debate.

  • position no. 3 – Ion-Marcel Ciolacu – Social Democratic Party
  • position no. 4 – Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă – National Liberal Party
  • position no. 5 – Hunor Kelemen – Hungarian Democratic Union from Romania
  • position no. 6 – Mircea-Dan Geoană – independent candidate
  • position no. 7 – Ana Birchall – independent candidate
  • position no. 8 – Alexandra-Beatrice Bertalan-Păcuraru – Alternative Party for National Dignity
  • position no. 9 – Sebastian-Constantin Popescu – New Romania Party
  • position no. 10 – Ludovic Orban – The Force of Right
  • position no. 11 – Călin Georgescu – independent candidate
  • position no. 12 – Cristian Diaconescu – independent candidate
  • position no. 13 – Cristian-Vasile Terheş – Romanian National Conservative Party
