This Sunday, November 24, activists mobilized in front of the Louvre pyramid to denounce all forms of violence and oppression against women throughout the world. The singer Lio was present.

On the sidelines of the day against violence against women this Monday, around a hundred Femen gathered to demonstrate in front of the Louvre. “Let’s lift the veil on violence against women in the world,” they chanted this Sunday, November 24. “A hundred activists march to embody a living symbol of global feminism against patriarchal violence, the oppression of women and the rise of authoritarianism in the world,” they assured on the social network X.

“We will never stop fighting”

The Femen collective specified that the participants are veiled in black as a “symbol of mourning and the erasure of women”. “Removing the veil is not just a symbolic gesture: it is a conscious act of reclamation, a declaration to the world that we refuse to be silenced, that we will not be erased, and that we will never cease to fight for our freedom and that of our sisters,” the group concluded.
