Benjamin Pavard gave an interview to Téléfootin which he talks about his future and his objectives with the French team. As a reminder, the defender is 28 years old.
Pavard's page in the French team is turned. Difficult to say since after a Euro 2024 with limited playing time, the versatile defender made his return during the November rally, for the matches against Israel (0-0) and against Italy (1-3 ). Entering the game in the last ten minutes at San Siro, the Inter Milan player spoke at the microphone of Téléfooton his future and his objectives in Blue.
“The 2026 World Cup, no I’m not thinking about it, because it’s still far away. But it’s a goal, yes” declares the 2018 world champion.
Following his appearance on the TF1 show, Pavard spoke about his absence from the selection during the September and October rallies.
“I missed it, a lot. I had been in Blue since 2017. It was weird to see my friends playing on TV. I took the opportunity to recharge my batteries and I came back stronger today.”
Regarding his Euro 2024, Benjamin Pavard responds with honesty. “We prefer to play, to be on the pitch but we have to stay positive for the life of the group. I was ready if the coach called on me. The most important thing is the collective. […] There is no problem between the coach and me.”
