Laurence Boccolini is about to blow out the candles on a cake that resists everything. Thirty years after its launch in 1994, “Les Enfants de la Télé” faced permutations of broadcaster (France 2 then TF1 from 1996 to 2016 then back on France 2) as well as changes of hosts, but has persisted over time with just as successful. It's now the ex-villain of “Weakest Link” who dives, every Sunday afternoon, into the archives of the small screen to unearth pans and sequences that are still just as tasty. In October 2023, the host recovered the brand long embodied by Arthur then worn by Laurent Ruquier for six years. And it is with “a big responsibility” that she returns to prime time, this Saturday, November 23, to celebrate a birthday with great fanfare, between bursts of laughter and lovely moments of emotion.
Arthur and Laurent Ruquier present despite everything
Despite this superb gift, the mistress of ceremonies admitted to being upset by the physical absence of her two illustrious predecessors. “I would have loved to make an entry with Arthur and Laurent Ruquier, but we are not on the same channels. I think it's not that simple“, deplores to “Télé-Loisirs” the one who had the opportunity to work with the two leaders of her profession. “Afterwards, we will see many messages from them during the evening”she tries to console herself, while a tribute will also be paid to Pierre Tchernia, legendary partner and accomplice of Arthur.
“Agendas that did not match“the production is justified
On the production side, we ensure that“no problem” pits the two presenters against the “Enfants de la Télé” teams. Of the “diaries that did not match” would explain their absences during this anniversary evening, during which their shadow will hover above the stage. “Laurent sends a message and Arthur will be there, through numerous images“, nevertheless confirms one of the Endemol producers to our colleagues. The only false note of a show “in XXL version” and exceptionally relocated to the stage of the Élysée Montmartre in Paris.
