This Friday evening, the traditional Ligue 2 multiplex pitted 12 teams against each other over the course of six matches which opened the 14th day of the elite antechamber. Two former Ligue 1 players faced each other this Friday at the Gabriel-Montpied stadium in Clermont where CF63 played against Metz. In the first period, the debates were balanced and Medhi Baaloudj opened the scoring for the locals (14th). Finally, the Lorraine reaction was not long in coming and Ibou Sané equalized in the 27th minute (1-1). Despite opportunities on both sides in the second half, the two teams were not able to decide. With this sharing of points, Metz climbs to 3rd place while Clermont is standing still in the middle of the table.

In the other shock of the evening, Guingamp took the scalp of Amiens. While Siwe and Hemia gave his team a comfortable advantage in the first period, the expulsion of Sohaib Nair changed nothing after the locker room for the Bretons who even took off thanks to Siwe's double. With this victory, the EAG moves up to 5th place. In the other evening matches, Caen held on to Rodez at the very end of the match after a prolific match in Caen (3-3). Malherbe is now 14th. Pau outclassed Red Star thanks in particular to a double from former Lyonnais Pathé Mboup. Laval went on to beat Martigues by a wide margin when Troyes and Grenoble parted with a goalless score.
