Even the snow that fell in the English Channel failed to spoil the party.

“We had 80 reservations for the evening ”, they say Chez Simone. At the Cartel, all the tables were booked in advance from the day before.

The tradition of Beaujolais Nouveau was perfectly respected in many bars from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche): open bottles, a little bread, pork, cheese… and lots of good humor!

There were many customers and enjoyed this good tasting time. In the background, there was sometimes traditional musicproudly French, but full of charm. Here and there, groups came to seriously liven up the evening.

Festive drink

Fans of this “festive drink” are always present in large numbers to celebrate the event. Often, when we pass between tables in bars, we respond that “Bojo” is “good, but nothing more”.

The whole attraction lies in l’aspect convivial of the thing. Tasting Beaujolais Nouveau is above all a pretext to get together and spend a good evening with friends. And then, after all, it's once a year.

Often mocked for its “banana taste”, Beaujolais seduces. The 2024 vintage is rather fruity and very light in the mouth. A feature that many people liked.
