While the two jurors, Mercotte and Cyril Lignac, placed this new edition under the sign of illusion and trompe l'oeil, the talents of some of the participants were particularly highlighted. The best pastry chef: trompe l'oeil hidden in the room
From the first test of this seventh episode, the candidates surpassed themselves to give the best of themselves. The challenge? Create a trompe l'oeil that the budding pastry chefs had to place under the tent in a natural way so that the two jurors, Mercotte and Cyril Lignac, could not identify them. Although they were not allowed to move to take a closer look, the two chefs took part in the game and enjoyed searching for the different cakes of the candidates.

While Laurène set out to create a particularly unsuccessful roll of kitchen towels, the logo The Best Pastry Chef of the youngest in the competition did not convince the jurors, whether in terms of trompe-l'oeil, but also in terms of taste. If Romain's green plant, Christelle's box of organic eggs and Benjamin's jar of flour were all praised by Cyril and Mercotte, two creations came out with flying colors: Tsiory's two drawers as well as the José's copper pot.

Trompe l'oeil is a challenge that requires perfect technical mastery and limitless imagination, which José succeeded perfectly.
