This feature was once reserved for AirPods Pro 2 and the expensive AirPods Max headphones. Equipped with this technology, the AirPods 4 seem much more competitive to us, especially since Apple has done an excellent job.
The format of the AirPods is the same, with tips that do not fit completely into the ear, which is less intrusive and allows greater comfort for prolonged use. Obviously, the support is naturally less reliable than with silicone tips that fit into the ear canal, but this varies greatly depending on different body shapes. In addition, the sound and noise reduction quality is very good and only an experienced ear will be able to feel the difference with the most expensive headphones like the AirPods Pro 2. These AirPods 4 ANC therefore constitute a credible alternative for those who want the best quality possible in the “classic” AirPods format, less intrusive and more comfortable.
