BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Look for skies becoming mostly clear, with temperatures gradually fall into the 50s. By 7 p.m., many of you will be in the 40s under a clearing sky. Overnight and into Thursday morning, temperatures will fall back into the 30s! Wind gusts today will likely vary between 20 and 30 mph out of the NW. Tomorrow, wind gusts will be nearing 40 mph in some communities. Meaning, it will feel even cooler on Thursday afternoon. High temperatures will be in the mid-50s but could feel like the upper 40s.
THE NEXT BIG THING: The rest of the work week and weekend should be mostly sunny, with cooler mornings and seasonable afternoons. Lows near freezing could be seen in some areas on Friday and Saturday mornings, and frost is possible Thursday through Saturday morning.
RAIN FOR THANKSGIVING: Long-range data shows an active setup by Thanksgiving. Light rain will return by Wednesday. Thanksgiving morning may be wet with the possibility of a few storms. For now, models suggest the rain will be gone by mid-afternoon Thanksgiving Day.
