Former Macronist MP Joachim Son-Forget announces his gender transition and changes his first name at the same time.
Born in 1983 in Seoul (South Korea), under the name Kim Jae-duk, now Joachim Son-Forget, the Franco-Swiss MP announced his gender transition this year and also changed his first name. Her name is now Eva Son-Forget. In an interview given to Blickthe politician looks back on this stage of her life.
“It’s a process that involves my life”
“It wasn't easy to choose, but I like Eva, a reference to Eve, created from a rib of Adam. She immediately got into mischief”explains the former Macronist MP, referring to her new first name Eva but also the change of sex on her papers.
“This statutory change is very important to me. When your transition is recognized by others, it becomes reality. It is no longer a secret secret”says the elected official who joined Eric Zemmour's Reconquest party in 2022.
“It is a process which involves my life, which exposes me and my children. I would not speak openly if it were not crucial for me, but especially for others, weaker than me, who cannot live their life as they dream of it. It is a call for tolerance and freedom to choose their gender identity.explains Eva Son-Forget.
“I was forcibly hospitalized”
The name of Joachim Son-Forget is not unknown since several months ago, the ex-MP was arrested in Paris when he had refused to comply with a police check but also taken under the cocaine, which was also found on him.
Facts that date back to last summer. “I was forcibly hospitalized. I was given an obligation of care because of the questions I began to have about my gender identity”he indicated. This questioning would have provoked the anger of those around him “personal and professional who decided to begin a process of compulsory psychiatrization” against him.
