Răzvan Marin, Romania’s captain in the match with Cyprus
Romania approaches the last match of the Nations League without Nicolae Stanciu and Dennis Man. There was that chant, but it was something like 20 seconds. They also started to provoke. They probably saw the end, they saw that they couldn’t win.
I don’t know if it was necessarily premeditated, but they were probably waiting for something like that to make a scene like this again. I really wanted to offend them, but I don’t bother with such characters, because they are not worth it. We have to be more mature and smarter than what they did tonight.
Racist chants? When they make us gypsies, isn’t that all racism? It’s even uglier and more offensive. I don’t think I played an extraordinary game tonight.
