After two hours of counting, the strong trends are favorable to Pastef by Ousmane Sonko. So much so that some of his opponents are already congratulating him. This is the case of Bougane Guéye Dany, leader of Gueum sa Bop and member of the Samm sa kaddu coalition. Here is his publication.
“Dear compatriots, Gueum Sa Bopp Les Jambars congratulates Mr. Ousmane Sonko and Pastef.
The Senegalese voted and confirmed their choice of March 24. I thank my comrades from Samm Sa Kaddu for the commitment and determination shown during the campaign. We draw all the consequences and reiterate our anchoring in the opposition.
I urge the presidential camp to now focus on meeting the needs of the Senegalese.
Proud of Senegalese democracy and happy with the behavior of the activists and sympathizers of Gueum Sa Bopp “the Jambars”. Significant challenges await us, we are determined to meet them for the happiness of Senegal, the object of our commitment.
