Violent brawl in Rumilly: a 17-year-old teenager killed, a seriously injured person transported by helicopter
This Sunday, November 17, around 4:30 p.m., a violent altercation degenerated into a general brawl in Rumilly (Haute-Savoie). The clashes pitted young residents of Rumilly against a group from the Teppes district of Annecy.
A tragic brawl: one dead and one seriously injured
According to the first elements of the investigation, a weapon was used during the fight. A 17-year-old teenager from Rumilly was fatally injured. Another young person involved in the altercation was seriously injured and evacuated in absolute emergency by helicopter to a hospital in the region.
An open investigation to understand the circumstances
The police quickly intervened to secure the area and collect the first testimonies. An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy, in particular the origin of the weapon used.
A worrying rise in violence
This tragedy once again underlines the resurgence of tensions between certain groups of young people in the region. The residents of Rumilly and the surrounding area remain in shock from this tragic event.
