This Saturday, November 16, Junior Eurovision 2024 was held. The event organized in Madrid, Spain, saw the coronation of Andria Putkaradze, a young singer from Georgia. Titouan, the French candidate, was not unworthy, discover his ranking.
It is a competition which usually brings luck to the French representatives. Unlike the adult version which still eludes the Tricolores, Junior Eurovision is almost a French specialty. Over the last four years, France has won the competition three times! Valentina in 2020 showed the way to Lisandro and Zoé Clausure, crowned in 2022 and 2023. Great performances which could only inspire Titouan, a 14-year-old singer, who also went through The Voice Kids. This Saturday, November 16, was the big day for the young Breton, who defended his title on the stage of the Caja Mágica in Madrid, Like this, like that. The song written by Malo' and Marie Bastideex-partner of Calogero, advocates tolerance and had everything to win this weekend.
Georgia big winner, France well ranked at Junior Eurovision 2024
This was without counting on the competition and in particular Andria Putkaradze, Georgian candidate, who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with its title To My Mom. Long in first position during the vote count, Titouan could dream of also being crowned like his French predecessors. But at the end of the jury vote, France ranked third, behind Ukraine and Georgia. Internet users, whose choice weighed 50% in the final result, pushed France back one place, who finished in fourth place in the famous singing competition. Behind Andria Putkaradze, Victoria Nicole for Portugal and Artem Kotenko for Ukraine formed the podium of the competition. A very encouraging result for the young Titouan who, we hope, will be imitated by the next French representative at Eurovision 2025, organized on May 13, 15 and 17, 2025 at the Halle Saint-Jacques in Basel in Switzerland, country of last winner, Nemo.
