Rain once again disrupted proceedings on the track this Thursday for the first races of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe in Jérez in Andalusia, with a Pro / Pro-Am race ending prematurely under a red flag.
Before this neutralization, which followed the exit of the track of Pietro Perolini (Oregon Team), Frederik Schandorff and Alex Au (Target Racing) dominated the proceedings, starting from pole behind the safety car, and controlling the ordeal until interruption.
The tandem won overall and in Pro-Am, while Egor Orudzhev (ART-Line) finished 2nd and won in Pro. The overall podium is completed by Andrea Frassinetti and Ignazio Zanon (VSR), second in Pro-Am. Anthony McIntosh and Brendon Leitch (Leipert Motorsport) climb onto the Pro-Am podium. Mattia Michelotto (VSR) and Amaury Bonduel (BDR Competition by Grupo Prom) climbed onto the podium in Pro. Bonduel performed well in the championship against leaders Oliver Söderström and Largim Ali (Target Racing), only 13th in the race (7th in Pro).
In the race reserved for Am and Lamborghini Cup crews, Stéphane Tribaudini and Piergiacomo Randazzo (VSR) dominated the first Andalusian round, with a great fight at the start of the event between Tribaudini and Stéphane Lémeret (CMR). Author of the best takeoff, the Belgian took the advantage at the start of the race before losing his position after the neutralization following the exit of the track of Alfredo Hernandez (BDR Competition by Grupo Prom). From then on, Tribaudini widened the gap before giving way to Randazzo who finished victoriously and despite the intensification of the rain ahead of Andrzej and Adrian Lewandowski (ASR) and Huilin Hui (Target). A success which allowed the Tribaudini – Randazzo duo to win the Am crown. Shota Abkhazava (ART-Line) won the Lamborghini Cup.
