“Being a godmother is good, but you also have to be present when you can. » These words perfectly summarize the commitment of Zaho de Sagazan in his fight to support cystic fibrosis patients. This Friday, November 15, 2024, the singer offered a private concert to the children of the department fighting this disease at the Timone hospital, thus offering these young patients a moment of respite away from their sometimes difficult daily life. In Hall 2 of the hospital, nearly 300 people gathered in front of a piano. The warm welcome contrasts with the simplicity of the artist, recently rewarded at the Victoires de la Musique. Sitting behind her piano, Zaho performed several of her pieces, before concluding her concert with La Symphonie des éclairs, her hit, taken up in chorus by the children. “It’s important that a star like her cares about us, especially in difficult times,” confides Samuel, a young patient in the department. “It is not enough to be a sponsor of an association, you also have to go there to show it,” said Zaho, sponsor of the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association. After the concert, the artist took the time to meet the children, pose with them for photos, then visited the service, guided by Samuel, a 13-year-old boy who played the guides for a day. This visit, which lasted a little over two hours, not only raised awareness of this incurable disease, but also brought a little happiness and hope to these young patients.
