Always complicated, feats with US rappers.
Another FR/US feat that goes to waste
We're not going to tell you the whole story again: since the remix of “Affirmative Action” with Nas and NTM, we know that US and French rappers don't get along. The attitudes and codes are different, and they also have this mania for taking us for clowns and not respecting uswhile here, some FR rappers are clearly playing Americanwhich should not help to gain respect. After Niska and Rich The Kid, or Gradur and Chief Keefthings visibly went badly again between Gazo and Offset, since a fight broke out between the two teams.
A fight with obscure reasons
Even if disagreements between FR and US rappers are not new, this is the first time that a French artist will end up on video on TMZ, the famous scandal site which follows the actions of US rappers. We have already spoken to you about it several times: as part of the release of his album, Gazo recorded a featuring with Offset, “Wemby”. A piece that had to be clipped, Moreover, the two rappers have been seen together in recent days. Except that one fight broke out between the two teams last night. The whole thing was filmed and it's making the rounds on the web.
We don't have much explanation as to the reason for the fight, even if according to several sources, Offset wanted to leave before the end of filming the clip. Gazo's team then asked him for a refund (yes, no US artist comes for free for the love of rap), which Offset and his team would have refused. As a result, a fight broke out in front of what looked like a hotel. Difficult to say who won or lost but what is certain, is that Offset's team was badly handled, because they were understaffed. On the other hand, the rapper did not give up and seemed to want to fight, even if it would certainly have ended badly for him, he did not hide.
His team obviously ended up getting him into a hotel lobby before the police arrived. We don't really know what Gazo thinks about all this, he who hasn't communicated on the subject. But we imagine that as a result, the clip will perhaps never be released. The future will tell us!
