A few hours after being appointed to head a commission intended to cut public spending, Elon Musk is seeking to form his team. While inviting candidates to subscribe to the paid Twitter offer.
Just a few hours after its creation, the Twitter account called “Department of Government Efficiency” already has more than a million subscribers. And for good reason, he benefited from an exceptional spotlight due to the man who will lead this “department of government efficiency”: Elon Musk, owner of X (Twitter) himself.
Appointed by Donald Trump to head this commission alongside businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk wants to save $2,000 billion (out of a federal budget of $6,750 billion).
“Very high IQ libertarian revolutionaries”
This November 14, the Twitter account promoted by the boss of Tesla published a call for applications, in order to find profiles capable of helping Elon Musk find savings avenues.
“We thank the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us in the Department of Government Effectiveness. (…) We need ultra-high IQ libertarian revolutionaries willing to work 80 hours a week on thankless budget cuts If you feel concerned, send a private message to this account with your CV Elon and Vivek will evaluate the best 1% candidates” promises the Twitter account of the department of government efficiency.
But to try your luck, you must, however, be ready to pay: sending a private message to the account in question involves subscribing to the paid version of Twitter, billed at 8.40 euros per month. A good way to make the initiative profitable.
