A moving sequence. Since their first kiss, Valentin and Flavie have lived a beautiful and tender romance. However, sad news came to overshadow the start of their relationship. During the new episode of Love is in the meadowbroadcast this Monday, November 11 on M6, the couple went to Paris for an interview with Karine Le Marchand. Faced with the host, the 21-year-old young woman spoke openly about her health. While she was in the middle of filming the show, the Breton learned that she had cancer. In October 2023, worried about a cyst on her right shoulder, Flavie decided to make an appointment with a dermatologist. ”In fact, I had surgery at the beginning of February for a tumor that was supposed to be benign, right here on my shoulder. And they called me back almost two months later [la semaine à la ferme] to tell me that my analyzes are not good, that it is not benign but malignant”she told Alya's mother. An announcement which was a real shock for dear and tender Valentin. “Of course, tears came to my eyes. I was far from imagining all this because I found happiness a week before and I was told that. I was like, 'Damn, why me?'
Suffering from cutaneous Ewing's sarcoma and already operated on, Flavie had to “start automatically” chemotherapy. “The oncologist told me to do a PET scan and an MRI which revealed nothing more, that’s reassuring”she stressed, specifying that the doctors were confident. When she heard the news, she didn't wait another second to inform her companion. “I told him that I had been diagnosed with cancer and that I would understand if he was afraid of the situation. We had only been together for a week. He immediately reassured me and told me that he would not let me down”she assured during this exchange. If the production wanted to put an end to filming, Flavie expressly asked to continue the adventure and bring forward the family stay before the first chemotherapy session. “It gets me out of my situation.”she explained, very moved.

Valentin (Love is in the meadow), “unfailing support” for Flavie
During this conversation Karine Le Marchand wanted to hear news from Valentin. Very modest by nature, the dairy cow breeder revealed to him that he did not dare to show his emotions and his fears. “I want to have the shoulders to. Sometimes it's hard. You have to say what is. We accumulate everything”he told the presenter, adding that he was ready to confide in the program's psychologist.
After these confidences, Flavie said more about the rest of her treatment. “There, I am in the middle of the first phase”she said, adding that she was starting to lose her hair. And to conclude: “Doctors are optimistic.” In voiceover, Karine Le Marchand gave reassuring news on the health of the bubbly Breton woman: “As I speak to you, Flavie is doing well. Thanks to the medical teams who are fantastic and thanks to our Valentin who is unfailingly supportive during this ordeal.”
