Morten Hjulmand scored a great goal, which was worth Sporting’s equalizer against Braga, this Sunday, November 10, which ended with the lions winning three more points and a comeback, 4-2. The moment of the Danish midfielder’s ‘shot’ went viral also thanks to… João Moutinho.
This is because, in the television broadcast images it is possible to see the former lions player ‘barking’ at the ’42 shirt’. However, Sporting’s captain ended up not looking at all bothered and responded with a mid-range shot that gave Minho equality.
With the victory in Braga – the 16th in 18 meetings this season –, the green and whites remain at the top of the Liga Portugal Betclic, with 33 points, and are in the fight to win their second title. Second place is occupied by Porto, which has 27 points. In third place is Benfica with 25 (one game less).
This season, Morten Hjulmand totals 16 matcheshaving scored two goals and one assist. In 2023/24, wearing the Sporting shirt, he played a total of 49 games: 30 in the National Championship, 10 in the Europa League, seven in the Portuguese Cup and two in the League Cup.
