It felt like a fair result overall. Both teams had good spells in the game and both sides tried to be positive and create openings. Chelsea might have shaded the game on chances, but there’s wasn’t a lot in it and Arsenal had that fantastic opportunity with the last kick. Spoils shared.

What a miss!!! Saliba crosses from the left side of the box and all Kai Havertz has to do is tap it into the empty goal, but Leandro Trossard stretches out a toe and diverts the ball wide before it can reach Havertz in the centre. Oh dear. Mikel Arteta punches the floor in frustration as the full-time whistle blows.

86 min: Wow, what a miss! Arsenal speed down the right with Jesus and his cross eventually falls to Trossard in the box, who misses from just a few yards with the goal gaping, smashing the ball over the bar. He’s saved, in a way, by the offside going up against Jesus for his original run down the flank.

83 min: James immediately gets into the thick of things, crossing to the near post and then chasing a bouncing ball into the box a moment later, which Raya can only push clear as far as Jackson, but the striker’s header lands back into a grateful Raya’s grip.
