For Jordan Bardella, the re-election of Emmanuel Macron only accentuates the disconnect between power and the concerns of the French. He does not hesitate to point the finger at a government more concerned by its image and by economic theories than by the social realities and the daily suffering of the French. “Emmanuel Macron is not interested in the French. “It’s not just a question of economic policy, it’s a total lack of understanding of the deep problems that affect many categories of the population,” he asserted.
“Disconnected” policies
The RN leader criticized the French president's reaction after the 2024 riots, when he asked the question: “Who saw these riots coming?” » According to Bardella, the answer is obvious: “Everyone saw them coming, except him. This is the real tragedy of this country: leaders disconnected from the suffering of their fellow citizens. » the president of the RN highlights what he considers to be a total impasse in current policies: “The real problem is not an economic question. It is a total failure to understand and respond to the exasperation of the French, particularly in the most difficult neighborhoods. »
ALSO READ What Jordan Bardella is (really) looking forIf the question of security also occupies an important place in his book, Bardella made a direct criticism of Bruno Retailleau, former Minister of Internal Security under Macron, and of the security policy of the executive. “I am always wary of those who scream the loudest, because they are not always the ones who act the best. Bruno Retailleau, despite his firm declarations, has no capacity for action,” he declared.
According to Jordan Bardella, the real question is not that of speeches but of the effectiveness of the policies applied. “The security of the French cannot be ensured by a government which does not have democratic legitimacy and which does not even have a parliamentary majority to reestablish state authority. »

Answer
Through this book, the man who presents himself as a “shy old man” also wanted to make his vision of the National Rally heard. If the party has long been associated with stereotypes, Bardella says today that it has evolved: “We have changed, we are no longer the National Front. We have a heritage, but we have also been able to evolve. » He returned to the difficult transformation of the image of the RN, marked by four decades of “demonization”, but also to the rise in power of the party, now “the leading political force” in France with more than 11 million votes.
ALSO READ Jordan Bardella's Five Rhetorical TipsIn his book, Jordan Bardella denounces a political system that is on its last legs and a government cut off from the reality of the French, while remaining attached to the idea of playing a role within this same system. By calling for better management of social and security issues, he recalls that the National Rally, long excluded from power, is now positioning itself as a serious alternative.
