France-Israel: a reinforced security system for the match on November 14: News

On November 14, a football match between and Israel will take place at the Stade de France. An event during which an extraordinary security system will be deployed, reported BFM and RMC.

Thursday, November 14, the French football team will face the Israel team at the Stade de France, in the Nations League. A high-risk match, given the international context, which should be the subject of particular attention. As RMC and BFM revealed on Friday November 8, the Ministry of the Interior and the authorities have in fact planned an exceptional system to ensure security during this event. According to our colleagues, no less than 26 companies of law enforcement should be mobilized during the evening.

“There will be a match next week and everything will be done by the Ministry of the Interior and by the law enforcement officers present to ensure the safety of spectators”assured Guillaume Kasbarian, Minister of the Civil Service, at the microphone of RMC. In addition to the mobilization of the police, all businesses, including bars and restaurants located near the Stade de France, would have received orders to close in the afternoon, before the match, to limit the risk of incidents.

Clashes between supporters in Amsterdam

This implementation of an extraordinary system is part of an already very tense context. As a reminder, Israeli supporters who traveled to Amsterdam (Netherlands) on Thursday October 7 to see the match between Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam were violently attacked. A dramatic situation which forced Benjamin Netanyahu to urgently send two relief planes to help his citizens. “The shocking images of the attack will not go unanswered”indicated the services of the Israeli Prime Minister.
