This Friday, November 29, it’s almost the big day. If the reopening of the cathedral is set for December 8, those who do not want to wait to go there to discover it with their own eyes will be able to do so… Thanks to the screens. This Friday, on the occasion of a final site visit by Emmanuel Macron which allows the president to discover the cathedral in preview, Notre-Dame will be fully restored under the cameras of France 2 and 5 Monde.

To see the interior of the building, meet at 9:30 a.m. on France 2, which is broadcasting the event live in a special program entitled “Notre-Dame reveals itself”. Presented by Julian Bugier with Nathalie Saint-Cricq and several special correspondents from France TV, it will follow the stroll of Emmanuel Macron accompanied among others by Philippe Jost, president of the public establishment Rebâtir Notre-Dame de , and Mgr Laurent Ulrich , archbishop of Paris. Step by step, it will be possible to rediscover the cathedral in immaculate whiteness: nave, transept, choir… But also in all its colors, passing through the fully restored chapels of Viollet-le-Duc.

A presidential speech

At the end of this tour of the site, the President of the Republic must address a speech to more than 700 artisans, companions and patrons who contributed to restoring Notre-Dame. This speech will take place in the cathedral itself, unlike the one which will be given on December 7, just before the opening of the doors and vespers.
