On the set of C à Vous, Michel Boujenah, Claude Lelouch and Kad Merad offered viewers a great moment. While they shared anecdotes about the filming of Finally, Claude Lelouch’s next film, the irresistible Michel Boujenah recounted an unprecedented incident that occurred during filming. And suffice to say that the director is not ready to forget it!
This Thursday, November 7, the show C to you welcomed a shock team. At Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine’s table: Claude Lelouch, Michel Boujenah and Kad Merad came to promote Eventuallythe director’s new film, expected in theaters on November 13. A work that promises to be special, because it marks the first part of a trilogy, possibly the last act of the filmmaker at the end of his career. Aficionados of the Lelouch style will find his unique touch there: a moving road trip, told in music and carried by the melody of Ibrahim Maalouf.
The film follows the adventures of Lino, a successful Parisian lawyer who, after celebrating his 100th acquittal, decides to throw everything away and travel across France. Kad Merad slips wonderfully into the role of this character in search of freedom. But the meeting between the director and his first role did not happen in an ordinary way. « So he didn’t offer me anything at all actually. You have to tell them “, confided the actor married to Julia Vignali with a laugh. Indeed, it was by pure chance that Claude Lelouch turned to him. During a train trip, his wife, Valérie Perrin, met Kad Merad who “had the very good idea to tell him ‘Hey, I would love to shoot with Claude Lelouch one day.’ And it just goes to show that nerve sometimes pays off! He got a role. An anecdote that amused Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine and it wasn’t the only one of the evening…
When Michel Boujenah takes a little nap in the middle of taking!
While the presenter broadcast an extract from the making-of of Eventuallyan impromptu scene made the guests burst out laughing. And there is something: Michel Boujenah falls asleep in the middle of the shot! “We have never seen this. The others are concentrated, and there…”, says Claude Lelouch, dying of laughter behind the camera. The actor, far from being discouraged, apologizes jokingly: “Bunch of fools! You don’t know that I’m an insomniac. You sit me on a seat, I sleep!”.
For Claude Lelouch, the anecdote is unprecedented: “Damn** he fell asleep during the shot, that’s unheard of”. Michel Boujenah adds, always with humor: “I’m the only actor in the world who falls asleep between engine and cut-off!”. It must be said that this is not the first time that he has done this on set. The actor has in fact admitted that this tendency to sleep earned him, in the past, some teasing from his colleagues on set. Director Gérard Oury even gave him an alarm clock and a pillow. Sacred reputation!
