Brest and Monaco at the top, PSG on the verge of the abyss… The general classification after the 4th day

The 4th day of the Champions League took place on Tuesday and Wednesday. PSG, Monaco, , , Real Madrid… Discover the complete ranking of this LDC after half of the matches in the league phase.

The 2024-2025 Champions League continues and its league stage reaches its halftime point. On Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 November, the 4th day of the most prestigious club competition was held, which this year is taking place in a brand new format with 36 teams.

This Tuesday, Lille and AS Monaco were the first two French teams on deck. After beating Real Madrid (1-0) and Atlético de Madrid (3-1) during the previous two days, Losc won a solid draw against Juventus Turin (1-1). Monaco, for its part, went for a vital victory on the lawn of Bologna (1-0).

This Wednesday, it was the turn of PSG and Brest to hum the famous “little music” of the Champions League. And as often since the start of the season, it seemed to give wings to the Bretons who won on the pitch of Sparta Prague (0-2). On the Parisian side, the atmosphere is completely different since after dominating the debates on their lawn, Luis Enrique’s men were crucified at the last second on a Madrid counterattack (1-2).

In the ranking, Monaco and Brest performed excellently and took 3rd and 4th places respectively. If we left it there, both teams would be directly qualified for the round of 16. Lille (14th) occupies a solid play-off position. But the surprise is to be found on the side of PSG which is now virtually eliminated (25th). The alert level has officially been reached.
