If the name of the new President of the United States was known relatively early, the nighttime coverage of the election of Donald Trump by French television channels did not attract many viewers, reports PureMédias.

2 at the top of the general channels

The media news site first specifies that France 2 was the first channel to go on air live from New York with an exceptional number of the show Special correspondentthen an “American Night” hosted, from 11:44 p.m., by Laurent Delahousse.

This France 2 election night, co-broadcast by FranceInfo, brought together 201,000 spectators. This figure represents 7.3% of those over 4 years old and, according to Médiamétrie, 11.5% of those aged 25/49.
