“A lot of rumors…”: Ebony and Emma confide in Brigitte Macron about the harassment they suffered

Ebony and Emma, candidates of the Star Academy 2024opened their hearts during the last daily. Faced with the First Lady, Brigitte Macron, they revealed the episodes of harassment they went through. A moment full of emotion which echoes the national week against school bullying.

In the daily broadcast of the Star Academybroadcast this Wednesday, November 6, viewers were entitled to an exceptional moment : Brigitte Macron's visit to the castle of Dammarie-lès-Lys. On the occasion of the national week against school bullying, the First Lady made a surprise appearance to raise awareness among young artists to this crucial cause in which she is completely committed.

Brigitte Macron's message was clear: recall the existence of 3018, the number dedicated to young victims of harassment and digital violence, and encourage people not to be alone in the face of this violence. In this process, the students therefore had the right to share their personal experiences on the subject. A poignant exchange.

Emma and Ebony share their experiences of harassment

In front of Brigitte Macron and their comrades, Ebony was the first to confide, evoking a particularly painful episode experienced at a younger age. The singer, among the top 3 of the week, recounts how a fake account in her name was created in college, used to initiate conversations with boys. It created a lot of rumors around me and every time we walk down a hallway, we say to ourselves, 'This person thinks that of me.' […] But at no time did I have the inclination to go talk to adults, because I thought they weren't going to be able to help me she admitted before Brigitte Macron bounced back by recalling that many efforts had been made to make the victims feel more supported.

For her part, Emma also shared a painful memory. Following her parents' divorce, the constant change of college made her integration particularly difficult, and the pretty blonde, who performed at the NRJ Awards 2024, describes a difficult period. “For a month, people stepped on my shoes, they made fun of me…” she says. Emma then thanks a former comrade, who, despite everything, was kind enough to reach out to her at the time: “She told me that she didn't believe a word of the rumors and that she wanted to be my friend. And I think that’s super important: reaching out to others”. A great lesson.
