Is a toxic molecule found in the coffee sold by Nestlé? Toulouse lawyer Pierre Debuisson, with supporting information, suspects this and is surprised by the silence of the agri-food giant.
The Toulouse lawyer, Pierre Debuisson, the same one who brought Nestlé to its knees by winning the first French class action for the benefit of the sixty victims of contaminated Buitoni pizzas, fears new worrying revelations for consumers. The lawyer, also received a fortnight ago at the National Assembly, mentions a “probable lack of communication or even a concealment of information concerning the potential toxicity of coffee”. Is a new health scandal about to break out? If he refuses for the moment to expand on the subject, Mr. Debuisson answered our first questions.
How did these suspicions arise?
I was contacted by a medical researcher who worked for many years on new research programs within a department of Nestlé. He discovered studies carried out internally which tend to highlight the toxicity of a molecule present in very large quantities in coffee.
What is this molecule?
I can't say more at the moment.
What do these documents say?
Three studies were carried out. There were discussions between researchers and managers of the “Nestlé Health science” department in which the dangerousness of a molecule was suspected. This suspicion appears, incidentally, in the context of a new program intended to combat the effects of aging on muscles.
Where are you in this matter?
We continue to increase the number of investigations and we are surprised by Nestlé's silence regarding this probable toxicity which seems to affect coffee.
