Two days before his victory in the American presidential election, the Republican perched on his platform once again described the traditional media as « realms of fake news ».

If Donald Trump's speech tinged with hatred towards the profession has shown a form of consistency since his first victory in 2016, the landscape of the American media has, on the other hand, evolved significantly in eight years. Stars from Fox News, a channel which at the time played a key role in the businessman's political rise, abandoned traditional television to launch their shows on a digital platform, like Tucker Carlson.
