“An execution in the middle of the street”, in the words of the public prosecutor of Montbéliard Paul-Edouard Lallois who denounces “extremely serious facts”. A man is on the run and actively sought by the police after shooting dead this Tuesday, around 2:30 p.m., a motorist who was driving his car on Tuesday, in Doubs.
On the video surveillance cameras of the commune of Allezcourt, “we see this man already armed, who goes up to the victim, brandishes his weapon and, in a very cold manner, fires several shots,” added the magistrate. Previously, the suspect on foot leaves a sidewalk and walks straight toward a car that is maneuvering. “The individual takes a handgun out of the back of his pants, points it at the driver's window and fires it several times,” explains Paul-Edouard Lallois.
Investigation for “assassination”
“The car traveled several hundred meters before stopping on a sidewalk,” said the magistrate. The driver, injured by bullets, then managed to escape from his car with the help of two witnesses. Conscious when help arrived, he died quickly at the scene.
Losing control of his car, the 50-year-old hit another vehicle driven by a 50-year-old woman, who was slightly injured, according to the firefighters.
The shooter “fled in his vehicle which was parked nearby”, he is actively sought by the police, said the prosecutor. The investigation opened for “assassination” was entrusted to the local judicial police service at the Montbéliard police station.
