Kameto and Prime reacted separately following the publication of an investigation conducted this Monday by the media Revue21, entitled “The secret war of the bosses of Karmine Corp”, of internal tensions within the famous esports structure French are revealed. We summarize their interventions for you.
Update from Tuesday, November 5 at 8 a.m.:
Following the publication of the Revue21 media investigation, Kamel “Kameto” Kebir took to the air on his Twitch channel this Monday evening, visibly devastated, in order to provide some explanations to KCorp fans. Prime followed suit later in the evening. Summaries.
Kameto smiles on his live
He admitted during this period that he had lost the joy of living, but that today things are better and that he is not alone. The problems encountered with Prime destroyed him but he wanted to keep everything to himself, never to leak anything, in order to protect the club. His dream has not changed, he still wants to win the League of Legends Worlds and recognizes in passing that the revelation of this investigation suits him, since it now allows him to address the subject in public. Speaking of the audience, almost everyone following his stream gave him their support.
Prime reacts in turn
For his part, Prime, also appearing moved, denied having enriched himself to the detriment of KCorp and affirmed that it was a set-up. He quickly felt sidelined within the team, from the creation of the club, and recognizes that he is “not the best guy to make friends” because of his outspokenness. On the side of his personal investment, Prime explains that he has always done everything possible for the good of the club and that the mistakes were made only on his company, and not that of KC. The release of this investigation relieves him since he would have suffered from stage blackmail on this subject, he said without specifying further where he came from. He also shared his feeling that Karmine Corp members often turned against him, and that many people in the industry wanted to see him fail.
The KCX is this weekend
In a much more joyful register, the fourth edition of the KCX will be held this Saturday, November 9 in Paris at La Défense Arena in front of thousands of people. Prime announced on his stream that he should be present, and this will of course also be the case for Kameto and many other people working within KCorp.
Article from Monday November 4, 2024:
The tumultuous behind the scenes of KCorp: a war for power at the top of French esports
The investigation carried out by Revue21.fr (paid article) reveals deep tensions within Karmine Corp, one of the most prominent organizations on the French esports scene. While Kameto and Prime, the club's two iconic figures, displayed apparent unity, strategic differences and personal interests gradually undermined their partnership.
Divergent ambitions and contested financial practices
While Kameto, the majority shareholder, focused its efforts on the club's sporting performance, Prime focused more on commercial partnerships and merchandising. These discrepancies came to light in 2022, following the discovery of financial anomalies. According to the investigation, Prime allegedly used the influence of Karmine Corp to sign lucrative contracts with outside companies, to the detriment of the club's interests. Funds were also allegedly used for personal purposes (driving license, personal lifestyle of Prime and one of his childhood friends, etc.), without Kameto and the club being informed. These practices, judged in particular to be incompatible with Riot Games' rules, aroused the anger of Kameto, who quickly initiated legal proceedings.

A power war that threatened the future of the club
These facts plunged Karmine Corp into a real power war in 2022. The two founders accused each other of mismanagement and fraudulent maneuvers. If Kameto demanded the dismissal of Prime and a restructuring of the club, the latter retaliated by contesting the validity of certain contracts.
Faced with this critical situation, Arthur Perticoz was recruited to try to ease tensions and stabilize the organization. His mission: to restructure the club, raise funds and calm relations between the two founders. Although it has managed to mitigate the most acute conflicts and entry into the LEC has eased tensions, mutual distrust could persist between the two co-founders.
As KCX 4 approaches, the publication of this investigation, which caused a lot of noise on social networks, caused many fans to react and, unsurprisingly, came to Kameto's defense. At the time of writing, the club has not publicly reacted.
