Broadcast since October 18 on Prime Video, the series Worship caused a sensation among the public. The show which looks back on the arrival of Loft Story in France highlights the characters inspired by Alexia Laroche-Joubert and Loana, but also a talented actor: Sami Outalbali.
A dive into the archives of French reality TV: this is what the Prime Video platform offered its subscribers last month by putting its new series online, Worship. A show that returns to the genesis of Loft Story, the very first French reality TV show broadcast in 2001. Created by Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the show marked the history of television by following the adventures of 11 candidates, cut off from the world for several weeks. A small screen phenomenon recounted in six episodes and which highlights the impact of this program on French societybut also on its main stars. Because this very first season revealed to the general public a certain Loana, played brilliantly by a larger-than-life Marie Colomb. But the young actress who underwent a real physical transformation for the role is not the only one to shine in the show.
A real revelation
In addition to Anaïde Rozam who plays Alexia Laroche-Joubert and Nathan Japy who lends his features to Benjamin Castaldi (who was not very appreciated), the show highlights the young actor The Outalbali themselves in the role of Karim Chedira, journalist and caster inspired by Benoît Chaigneau. An actor of only 24 years old but nevertheless far from being unknown to the general public, who were notably able to discover him in Mortal on Netflix and The Big Ones on OCS. On the cinema side, the young man has played roles in Lola towards the sea by Laurent Micheli and A real guy by Benjamin Parent, or more recently November by Cédric Jimenez alongside Jean Dujardin and Happy winners with Fabrice Éboué. But his outburst took place in another Netflix series, Sex Education, where he opposite another French actress, Emma McKey. A young actor who is quickly climbing the ranks and whom the public could well find in the coming years in leading projects.
