Very heavy rains and floods hit Spain again this Monday, November 4. “We are recording very intense rain which could continue for a large part of the morning”, warned Aemet, the Spanish meteorological agency early Monday morning.
The orange level is maintained for the Valencian Community and Catalonia. In some places, up to 150 mm of rain is expected in an hour, the meteorological institute predicts.
“The rain fell heavily this evening”explained the Tarragona town hall, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) shortly before 7:30 a.m. The City calls on the population to “restrict mobility as much as possible”.

The city of Valencia suspended all classes this Monday to facilitate the work of emergency services. Already on Sunday, residents of this region were called on Sunday to return home due to the danger of further intense precipitation in the evening. A red alert was issued, before being lifted.
