BOURNEMOUTH sensationally beat Manchester City 2-1 as Pep Guardiola’s men failed to capitalise on Arsenal’s earlier slip-up.
Antoine Semenyo spun on Milos Kerkez’s low cross and beat Ederson in the ninth minute to give the hosts an early lead.
And midway through the second half Andoni Iraola’s men doubled their advantage through Evanilson.
Kerkez again was the provider as he crossed for the Brazilian striker to finish neatly.
Josko Gvardiol pulled one back for the champions late on but it was merely a consolation as Man City loss for the first time since December 6 last year.
The result lifts Bournemouth into the top half of the Premier League.
Man City’s loss sees them relinquish top spot to Liverpool – who came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 and move two points clear.
