GROUND, THE DRY LEAVES, AND EVEN A LIGHT BREEZE, WE ARE LOOKING AT AN ELEVATED FIRE RISK FOR TODAY THAT RISK GETS EVEN HIGHER AS WE STRETCH TOWARD THE MIDDLE OF THE WORKWEEK, AS WE’RE LOOKING AT VERY WINDY CONDITIONS FOR TUESDAY AND WITH LESS AND LESS OF A LIKELIHOOD OF RAIN, THAT ELEVATED FIRE RISK IS ONLY LIKELY GOING TO STRETCH. LET’S TAKE A LOOK OVERHEAD. NOT MUCH TO TRACK OUT THERE IN TERMS OF RAIN. A FEW DROPS OUT TOWARD VERMONT, BUT WE HAVE SOME CLOUDS THAT ARE PASSING THROUGH THIS MORNING, AND YOU’LL NOTICE THAT WITH SUNRISE AS WE MOVE THROUGHOUT THE DAY, EVEN A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS OUT THERE FOR US TODAY. SO NOT A PERFECTLY BLUE SKY OVERALL, THOUGH, STILL A GREAT DAY FOR HEADING OUT. DON’T FORGET ABOUT THAT BREEZE. IT’S BETWEEN 5 TO 15MPH, SO WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S, IT’S A COOL BREEZE THAT WILL GREET YOU. WE TOP OUT JUST ABOUT 59 IN NORWOOD TODAY. 51 AS YOU’RE HEADING OUT TOWARD KEENE. SO A LITTLE COOLER AS YOU MOVE INTO THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS, INTO SPOTS WHERE WE WILL ACTUALLY FALL INTO THE 20S TONIGHT. SO A REAL CHILL FOR THIS EVENING. I THINK MOST LOCATIONS AS FAR AS THE SUBURBS SHOULD FALL BELOW FREEZING. AND THEN THE IMMEDIATE COASTLINE HOLDING ON TO THE MID 30S TO NEAR 40, HEADING DOWN TOWARD THE CAPE. OUR LITTLE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS ON ELECTION DAY TUESDAY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S FALLING APART AS WE’RE MOVING THROUGH OUR TIMELINE HERE. YOU CAN SEE THIS IS THE AFTERNOON HOURS ON TUESDAY, MOST OF THE SHOWERS STAYING TO OUR NORTH AND SOUTH, FALLING APART HERE LOCALLY. SO INSTEAD THE BIGGER IMPACT HERE FOR OUR TUESDAY WILL BE THE WARMTH AND THE WINDY CONDITIONS. TAKE A LOOK AT OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES. WE GO FROM THE 50S THIS WEEKEN
