The weather at Zurich Airport led to problems for Swiss. Flights from other airlines were also canceled.

Deep “Caetano” challenges Zurich Airport. The delays in the early evening were limited. However, several flights were canceled. The Swiss planes go to Berlin, Brussels, Geneva (planned to be carried out by Helvetic), Birmingham, Amsterdam, Milan (planned to be carried out by Baltic), Barcelona, Stuttgart, Hamburg, London Heathrow (planned to be carried out by Helvetic) and Munich.
These flights were scheduled to leave Zurich between 4:25 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. The corresponding return flights also had to be canceled. Air France from Paris, Lufthansa from Frankfurt and Finnair from Helsinki also canceled flights.
Snowfall begins at the airport during the afternoon. At times the fog was so thick that hardly anything could be seen. It is still unclear whether all cancellations are due to the weather. An inquiry is pending with Swiss.
