One of the most difficult tasks of the entire season awaits Union Berlin on the 9th Bundesliga matchday: they are guests of record champions Bayern Munich. The Köpenickers are still bothered by the cup debacle from midweek.
After a strong start to the season, 1. FC Union Berlin suffered its first major setback last Wednesday. In the DFB Cup, the Bundesliga team was embarrassed by third division team Arminia Bielefeld, losing 2-0 and being eliminated from the competition in the second round.
