Berrichonne: 1
Paris 13 Atletico : 1
We might as well start right away with the positive because it won't last long: the Berrichonne of Cristiano Marques Gomes, nicknamed Cris, took a point this Friday against Paris 13 Altletico and after four consecutive defeats, we can talk about progress. Even if we didn't burn our eyes, quite the contrary. This draw against the penultimate does not change the positions in the ranking: Berrichonne is still at the bottom.
What is also encouraging is that the Rouge et Bleu did not lose their meager nest egg at the end of the match, whereas since the start of the season, they had developed the nasty habit of collapsing miserably. This time, they were able to show solidarity, especially in the last quarter of an hour, played outnumbered after the expulsion of Isaac Umbdenstock, after a foul committed more than 70 meters from his goals.
A team with full confidence would have managed to maintain this meager advantage, but not this Châteauroux.
Still, it is difficult to be completely happy with this performance because the match was really not exciting and that is a mild understatement after a first period which was terribly boring and in the middle of a fog.
The light came just after the break. Othmane Chraibi restarts from his camp for Brandon Agounon who puts Giovanni Versini in orbit, who after a 50 m race, dribbles a defender before hitting at the entrance to the area. His shot, off target, is brought back by Mamadou Diaby in the middle on the goalkeeper who deflects onto his post. The ball comes in a little luckily (1-0, 49e).
A team with full confidence would have managed to maintain this meager advantage, but not this Châteauroux who ten minutes later was joined by the Parisians. Originally, a loss of ball from Noa Cervantes 40 meters from the goal, and in the continuity of the action, Ambroise Oyongo finds support on Abdelsamad Hachem for a delivery on Issiaka Karamoko whose shot stretched between the left hand and the Hillel Konaté's post hits the mark (1-1, 60e).
For his first match, Cris stopped the bleeding, but it was too early to say that he had started to put his foot down. His initial choice to trust a classic 4-1-4-1 pattern did not bring the madness that we hoped for; on the other hand, the fact of finishing the match with five defenders made it possible to take the small point which maintains hope and a little serenity.
Supporters: “respect the club or get out”
That said, the climate is still tense around the team. Proof of this is the attitude of the supporters who welcomed the players before the match with banners reading “respect the club or get out” and with an encouragement strike which lasted for 15 minutes. During the “wet the jersey” match, “Move on!” Wake up, we’re at home” also came down from the stands. Finally, after the final whistle, when the players approached the kop, they received not only congratulations. But for that, we will have to wait for the victories to return.
