LET’S GET RIGHT OVER TO WESH 2’S. BOB HAZEN BOB. THEY DO HAVE A 17 YEAR OLD SUSPECT IN CUSTODY. IN STABLE CONDITION. THAT’S RIGHT. THAT SUSPECT WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER GOING TO A SECOND LOCATION. WHERE A SECOND SHOOTING HAPPENED. THIS MORNING. AND AGAIN, 17 YEAR OLD SUSPECT, TWO PEOPLE DEAD, SIX OTHERS INJURED, AND THE CHIEF TOLD US TODAY THERE IS BETWEEN 50 TO 100,000 PEOPLE THERE IN THAT DOWNTOWN AREA FOR THE HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS WHEN THESE SHOTS WERE FIRED. I WANT TO SHOW YOU SOME VIDEO FROM THE SCENE THAT WE SHOT A LITTLE BIT EARLIER, BEFORE WE CAME OVER HERE TO ORLANDO POLICE HEADQUARTERS. THE FIRST SHOOTING HAPPENED THERE AT CENTRAL AND Orange AVENUE, AND THEN AFTER THAT FIRST SHOOTING WHERE THERE WAS A VICTIM FELL TO THE GROUND. THE SUSPECT AND A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE AS WELL RAN FROM THAT SCENE TO A SECOND SCENE. THAT WAS AT WASHINGTON AND ORANGE. THAT’S WHERE MORE SHOTS WERE FIRED. AND ANOTHER PERSON WAS KILLED. ACCORDING TO THE CHIEF. THE VICTIMS RANGE IN AGE FROM 19 TO 39. WE DON’T KNOW IF THEY WERE MALE OR FEMALE AT THIS POINT, BUT AGAIN, THE SUSPECT WAS CAPTURED THERE AT THAT SECOND SCENE AT WASHINGTON AND ORANGE AND ORLANDO POLICE OFFICER WHO SAW THAT SUSPECT FIRED THE SHOTS, TOOK HIM DOWN AND ARRESTED HIM. WE’RE TOLD THAT THAT SUSPECT HAS PREVIOUS ARRESTS FOR GRAND THEFT, BUT NO WORD YET OF WHETHER HE WAS ADJUDICATED OR NOT IN THAT CASE. BUT WE ARE WORKING TO GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THAT SUSPECT. WHAT MIGHT HAVE LED UP TO THIS ORLANDO POLICE AT THIS POINT SAYING THEY DON’T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE MOTIVE WAS.
