The Public Prosecution in Rabat decided to pursue the wife of Youssef Shibou, a former international player with the Moroccan national football team, on release, after she caused a traffic accident that resulted in the death of one person and the injury of another.
Today, Wednesday, the competent Public Prosecution followed up on the wife of the aforementioned player in a state of release with a financial guarantee of 30 thousand dirhams, with the trial session in question set for next November 19.
Lawyer Aziz Lahrche, defending the accused who was arrested by the security services in the capital, Rabat, stated that his client was being sent to prison.
The person concerned was charged with manslaughter resulting from a traffic accident, causing unintentional injuries, and lack of willingness to perform the necessary maneuvers to avoid the accident.
The police services in the city of Rabat arrested the wife of Youssef Shibou, the former Moroccan international player, in connection with a fatal traffic accident. She was driving a Range Rover four-wheel-drive car on Mohammed VI Street in the Administrative Capital, before she collided with a motorcycle carrying two young men on board, while trying to swerve and change direction.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the two young men who were victims of the accident belonged to the Royal Armed Forces, and one of them was killed. While the second injured person left the military hospital, after receiving the necessary treatment.
