Khatib Al-Habil, who holds a state engineer diploma in civil engineering, began his professional career in 1983, as a state engineer at the Regional Corporation for Equipment and Construction – East, before he was appointed regional representative for housing in Beni Mellal – Azilal in 1990.

Khatib Al-Habil also served, in 1992, as director of the Regional Corporation for Equipment and Construction – South, then director of the Regional Corporation for Equipment and Construction – Tensift in 1997, after which he held the position of director of the Regional Company of Omrane – Marrakesh and Omrane – Tamansourt, on April 30, 2009.

Khatib Al-Habil enjoyed the supreme Mawlawi trust of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory and support, so he appointed him governor of the Nouaceur province on November 26, 2010, a position he held until he again gained the supreme Mawlawi trust, when His Majesty the King appointed him governor of the Settat province on 06 February 2016, then governor of the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region and governor of the Beni Mellal region starting on February 7, 2019.

Al-Habil’s preacher is married and the father of three children. He holds the Order of the Throne, with the rank of Knight.
