Camille Pouponneau announced it this Thursday evening on her social networks: she is returning her scarf as mayor of Pibrac. The elected official, at the head of the municipality since 2020, is ending her duties for reasons of “deterioration of my mental health”, as she explains on her Facebook page. The prefect of Haute-Garonne approves his departure, with immediate effect.

Camille Pouponneau has been considering leaving Pibrac town hall and her headquarters in Toulouse Métropole for a few days, but she justifies her decision to “take time for yourself”. The councilor, deploring a certain weariness, regrets being “a simple manager without any room for maneuver”, whose daily life “is more devoted to controlling dog waste than to structuring projects for the municipality”.
The latter confides that she “stopped all professional activity to devote myself to my mandates”, and says she lives bitterly at having “assumed two functions, those of mayor and cabinet director” at the town hall of Pibrac, for compensation reaching “80 % of the minimum wage”, according to Camille Pouponneau.
When greeting her constituents, Camille Pouponneau thanks “elected officials, agents, partners, who took part in this adventure with great self-sacrifice”.
