The SNCF has decided to cut several train lines near Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) as storm Leslie approaches, reports Thursday October 17 France Bleu Occitanie while several departments including Tarn, Aveyron and Lot, are notably placed on orange rain-flood vigilance. Very heavy rain is expected, Météo France announces.

As a result, the SNCF cut several lines north and east of Toulouse at least for the day of Thursday: Toulouse – ; Toulouse – Mazamet; Rodez – Brive; – Cahors – Brive; Toulouse-Capdenac-Figeac-. There will be no substitute bus. Travelers who had to take a train with compulsory reservation that is not running may be reimbursed.

In total, 13 departments in the South are placed on alert for rain-flooding and/or thunderstorms and/or floods. In the Alpes-Maritimes, placed on orange “storm” alert, nurseries, schools, middle schools and high schools will be closed all day on Thursday.
